Topic: Phone Number Verification Failed

Since voip.com can't fix the problem wherein I can't call 586-282-XXXX (and others) phone numbers, I tried to move my service to Comcast.  However, when Comcast verified my phone number (comcast was supposed to have contacted voip), my phone number (248-778-1055) does not match the Rate(?) Center number.  Therefore, Comcast cannot transfer my existing phone number.  Why is 248-778-1055 phone number invalid and what can be done to correct it?  Thanks.

Not sure what that means.  We have the number and will release it always with a proper LOA (Letter Of Authorization).  It is up to comcast to correct any issues with porting the number over to them as it is our responsibility when porting number to us.  When porting a number away from us all we do is release it with the proper information to validate it is your number.  We will never hold a number from being ported away from us if we have the required information.
