samgamb, email sent

samgamb, there is no charge to send replacement adapter.  There will not be a shipping label to return old adapter but we discussed that in the email I sent yesterday.  When you verify the replacement adapter is working return your old adapter to the following address:

voip.com
1300 Pinetree Drive #12
Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937

Please write RMA on outside of package.

Thank you

neerajkg, and you're not getting any voice commands when you dial ***?

neerajkg, when you lift up phone does the flashing red light turn green?  If not unplug and replug rj11 phone line from adapter and phone and replug making sure both ends snap when replugged.  If you still don't get a green light replace rj11 if you have another and try procedure again.

samgamb, I don't think it will hurt anything to do so.  So you want us to go ahead and ship the 286?

neerajkg, if you dial ***02 what IP address is read back to you?

samgamb, copy and paste these instructions in notepad or Word and you can use this to setup your router.

1st Set HT-286 to static Ip, using the phone options (***) (01) to change to static
2nd using phone option (02) entered 192.168.002.155 (Belkin Dynamic IP Pool= 2-100, Set Ht to 192.168.002.155)
3rd using Phone option (03) entered  255.255.255.000
4th Using phone option (04) entered 192.168.002.001
5th Using Phone option (05) entered 192.168.002.001
6th Using Belkin Web Utility (192.168.2.1)
Under Firewall Settings using the Virtual Server opened the following ports
port 21
port 53
port 69
port 123
port ranges, 5060-5070
port ranges, 10000-20000
7th Selected UDP on all ports linked to IP 192.168.2.155

This procedure works with others using he same router.

neerajkg, I would enable PPPoE and put in the info provided by your DSL provider.  Some providers require this a some don't not sure about yours.
