Topic: No distinctive dial tone when new voice mail available.

I have had a number of instances where a call will ring once, then roll over to voice mail. I pick up the phone, and get a dial tone. This is annoying, but intermittent.

But once I do have unheard voice mail, my dial tone is supposed to have three beeps before it goes solid, and it doesn't. I have only a solid dial tone. My phone periodically picks up the line, listens for the beeps, and alerts me if a new VM is available. This isn't working.

I don't see where your ata has provisioned here since 9/28/09.  Are you using our adapter?  If so please provide me with the last 4 digits of the mac address and please reboot your network to provision your ata.

The adapters provided by Voip.com were too unreliable. They would not reconnect via DHCP. I replaced it with a Linksys PAP2. all functions were working fine until recemtly. Here is the status:
