My HandyTone 286 firmware is also out of date as per the Grandstream web site.

My ATA Device: Product Model:    HT286 REV 3.0
Software Version:    Program-- 1.1.0.3    Bootloader-- 1.1.0.1    HTML-- 1.1.0.3    VOC-- 1.0.0.12 

Grandstream web page http://www.grandstream.com/firmware.html Current Official Firmware:

Product              Firmware Version

HT286 (Rev. 2.0) 1.0.7.19
HT286 (Rev. 3.0) 1.1.0.42   (my unit is somewhere between 1.0.0.12 and 1.1.0.3, all of which are lower than current official version)
HT486 (Rev. 1.0) 1.0.6.7
HT486 (Rev. 2.0) 1.1.0.42

How can I upgrade the firmware?

There is a handbook describing how to update the firmware. My question is, will my phone service still work after updating? It can't be reversed. I guess VOIP.com has no customer service.

If firmware is reviewed and deemed necessary to improve ata performance it will be updated thru provisions.  Thank you
