Topic: Update

I have been in and out of the forum a lot over the last year and have seen some things change and some not change. This is the first time in quite a while that I have taken the time to log in and post. I just want to let everyone know that I still use this service and intend to continue to do so.
I still use the phone adapter I got when I first signed up and it still sounds the same. (Quality [removed by administration]) But this is how it is when you use a cordless phone that is designed for use with land line services. It would be like trying to adapt a crank type phone to a modern digital system.
Here is the funny thing I just got a couple of Hawking USB phones that you use for Skyping and can also work with voip services and tried them out. They have better quality than my VOIP Business phone from Netgear.
Although my service has never been perfect I have never been disappointed in it. Also the service has shown much improvement throughout this year. For an "unreliable service" it has become nearly reliable. I know that this is due not only to the hard work done behind the scenes at voip.com but to many improvements made to the internet.

I want to say Thank you for a great year and all your hard working fingers. Keep it up.
Scott

Re: Update

Just a note here.
I said the quality of my calls have been less than desired. The phone I was using was the cause of this loss in quality. I now have a different cordless phone that is working much better. The quality has been excellent for the last 2 weeks. I got a box of phone sets to recycle and tried what I felt was a good one and low and behold it worked and works very well with the adapter. This has fixed one of the problems I was having. Now if I can figure out what the difference is between the phones I have tried and this one... Some kind of compatibility issue??
I can't recall what I had stated that was removed in the post. I should have spent a little more time explaining what was meant. The product that was shipped to me is a good product. I have little trouble using it. It also works just fine as long as there are no problems elsewhere on the network. But when compared to some other methods of connecting to voip service it can be less than what you would want. I have looked at many of the other Grandstream products and like them and may even buy one for our home. But for my business I would not. If I said that the quality [removed by administration] it is only because it is the only device in my network that I can not change. In contrast to the rest of my home network it has not been changed. I guess I just want to upgrade it also.
Here is how I would rank them.
1. Connecting via PC using a head set.
2. Connecting via PC using my USB phone.
3. Connecting with a Business grade network phone.
4. Connecting with an adapter.
5. Using land line.
